Abstract:
The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing a system of crisis management for business performance in conditions of an unstable economic environment, increasing crises, high risk levels, and growing demands for management efficiency. It is substantiated the need to shift from merely responding to crises toward creating a comprehensive preventive crisis management system focused on timely threat detection, assessing their impact, and ensuring sustainable business development. The article summarizes modern scientific approaches to understanding the essence of crisis management and highlights its role in ensuring business performance. The study also analyzes the systemic, process-oriented, functional, situational, resource-based, strategic, risk-oriented, diagnostic, and value-oriented approaches to shaping a crisis management system. It has been found that their comprehensive application creates the groundwork for building an integrated management model capable of ensuring a company’s adaptability to changes in both internal and external environments. The structure of the enterprise’s crisis management system for economic performance has been substantiated, encompassing interrelated blocks: target, subject-object, functional, methodological, instrumental, information-analytical, controlling, and performance. Special attention is given to the role of controlling as an integrating element of the system, providing information and analytical support for planning, monitoring, control, risk assessment, and decision-making processes. A structural model of the logic for forming the enterprise’s crisis management system for economic performance has been proposed, reflecting the connection between analytical-diagnostic, managerial-formative, and performance-control blocks. It has been proved that implementing the proposed model ensures timely detection of crisis phenomena, improves resource use efficiency, strengthens financial stability, increases competitiveness, and creates conditions for the long-term development of the enterprise. It was concluded that a modern crisis management system should be based on the principles of comprehensiveness, adaptability, continuous monitoring, risk orientation, and controlling support, which allows improving the effectiveness of the enterprise’s economic activities in conditions of uncertainty.
