Place of work: IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Lucca, Italy), Associate Professor

Main activities and responsibilities:
- Teaching and research in EU energy policy; sustainability, ecological economics, and governance;
- Design and coordination of interdisciplinary courses with a strong EU policy focus;
- Supervision of PhD research on energy poverty, energy justice, and territorial inequalities;
- Project management in the Horizon Framework;
- Dissemination activities;
- International exchange prorammes and TransNational Access.

Skills and expertise:
- Thermodynamics of complex urban systems;
- Comparative analysis of urban metabolism of megacities;
- The transformation of the city and its impact on energy consumption;
- Energy efficiency and energy use in informal settlements of developing countries;
- Energy efficiency of the built environment, with a focus on the città consolidata.

Academic merits:
- Italian Scientific Qualification as Full Professor ASN 2023-25, 13/A2 Politica Economica;
- Extensive experience as local Principal Investigator and scientific coordinator in European research projects funded under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe frameworks;
- Long-standing involvement in the SoBigData research infrastructure (2016-present), including the H2020 SoBigData++ project and the ESFRI Roadmap SoBigData Research Infrastructure.
