Abstract: The monograph is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological support and the conception of Ukraine’s exit from the trap of socioeconomic backwardness, which was already formed in the pre-war period. The structure of the «backwardness trap» in Ukraine has been developed, the cause-and-effect relationships between its components have been determined, the system of indicators for identifying the problems and disproportions of the socioeconomic development of Ukraine in the pre-war period has been substantiated, the main imbalances and disproportions in the economy of Ukraine in the pre-war period and the impact of the war on the deepening of the problem of the country’s falling into the «backwardness trap» have been defined. The scenarios of Ukraine’s exit from the «backwardness trap» in the post-war period in accordance with its three components are substantiated, which provide for bringing imbalances and imbalances to stable or safe limits in those types of economic activity where these indicators pertain to the crisis or pre-crisis zones, which will prevent the self-maintenance of the trap. The monograph is recommended for scientists, specialists of public administration and self government bodies in the field of sustainable development of the national and regional economy, as well as the academic community.
