Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse the theoretical foundations of strategic human resources management, to consider the key conceptions, approaches and models that form the basis of effective human resources management in modern organisations and to consider innovative flexible strategies in the context of instability. The study will examine the evolution of strategic human resource management, its basic principles, methods and tools, as well as their practical application in the activities of enterprises in various industries. As a result of the theoretical analysis, the author has substantiated the concept of ‘strategic HR management of an enterprise’, and it is considered as a system of long-term planning, organisation and coordination of personnel activities aimed at achieving the strategic goals of an enterprise (an independent business entity established by a competent public authority or local self-government body, or other entities to meet public and personal needs through the systematic implementation of production, scientific and research, trade or other economic activities). In the context of economic, social and political instability, organisations need to implement innovative, flexible HR strategies that will help them adapt to changes, improve the efficiency of HR management and maintain competitiveness. The main recommendations for their implementation include: flexible planning and adaptive HR management; digitalisation and use of HR technologies; development of flexible employment models; strengthening corporate culture and employee engagement; investing in staff training and development; change management and crisis management in the HR department. The use of innovative and adaptive HR strategies helps companies to respond effectively to changes in an unstable environment, optimise HR management and strengthen their competitive position. The use of modern technologies, flexible approaches to labour organisation and strategic HR management will contribute to the sustainable development of enterprises even in difficult conditions.
