Abstract:
The modern world is characterized by a high speed of change and instability, which often leads to the emergence of crisis situations. The logistics sector, as one of the key components of economies, is particularly sensitive to such shocks. Crisis manifestations affect transportation volumes, the cost of logistics services, the efficiency of supply chains, and also require changes in the State policy in this sector. A crisis can be characterized as internal or external shocks that cause disruptions in market conditions and business activities. In the context of regulating the logistics services market, several main types of crises can be identified: economic, social, political, environmental, and technological. The aim of the article is to assess the possible impact of crisis phenomena on the regulation of the functioning process of the logistics services market. The research is based on systemic and statistical methods. The systemic method involves a comprehensive approach to analysis, where the components of the logistics system are considered as interconnected and interdependent elements. In turn, the statistical method provides real data that is reflected over time and allows for the formation of accurate decisions based on real statistics. The combination of these methods creates conditions for achieving the most balanced and effective assessment of the logistics sector’s state. Thus, various crisis phenomena, such as economic, political, organizational, environmental, and technological, significantly impact the regulation of the logistics services market, forcing companies to adapt to new conditions. The increase in demand for logistics services in regions outside conflict zones indicates the necessity of ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods and services. This underscores the importance of effective regulation of logistics infrastructure and ensuring the safety of transportation. In conditions where other sectors of the economy may reduce their activity, logistics remains an element of business stability, highlighting the significance of State support and development of this sector during a crisis.
