Abstract:
The article reveals the relevance of developing Ukraine’s food industry in the context of wartime, the growing social importance of food security, and the challenges facing the domestic market. Special attention is given to the need to ensure efficient corporate governance of food enterprises, which are key players in maintaining the stability of the country’s food system. The study examines industry leaders who demonstrate high performance in production, logistics, and distribution, as well as those who are formulating new approaches to the digital transformation of corporate management. A financial and economic analysis of the dynamics of sales volumes, exports, profitability, and structural indicators of Ukraine’s food industry for the years 2021–2024 has been conducted. The leading role of the industry in the development of the economy, employment, and economic resilience of the State has been identified. Based on the conducted analysis, three dominant types of digitalization have been identified that are being implemented in modern business models of food corporations: digital platformization, adaptive modularity, and managerial synergy of the entire cycle. For each model, a scenario for internal further development has been developed, taking into account the current market situation and the specifics of the corporation’s activities. A development model for food industry corporations in Ukraine has also been developed, consisting of four stages: operational stabilization, scaling, digital rethinking, and innovative transformation. The signs of completion for each stage of development have also been defined. In order to ensure an efficient managerial transition between the stages of development of the food corporation, a system of KPI indicators has been developed that allows for an objective assessment of the completeness of the current stage and readiness for the next stage. Thus, the practical result of the research was the structuring of types of corporate governance models, which can be utilized by leading corporations in the food industry as a tool for strategic planning, internal auditing, and adapting management decisions to dynamic market changes. The proposed approach has practical significance for developing adaptive strategies for sustainable growth in the food sector, as well as for supporting an efficient management of large food corporations in conditions of limited resources and strategic uncertainty.
