Abstract:
The aim of this article is to examine the maturity level of business processes in a logistics company under digitalization and ecosystem interaction, as well as to identify ways to optimize them to increase competitiveness and integrate into the European logistics space. By analyzing, systematizing, and summarizing the research of both domestic and international scholars, the evolution of approaches to business process management, the impact of digital technologies on logistics systems, and the role of the ecosystem approach in shaping modern management models are discussed. Special attention is given to the application of innovative solutions such as Big Data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain, which ensure transparency, speed, and flexibility in logistic processes. The study systematized the classification of logistics companies’ business processes by functional purpose; the authors assessed their maturity using the PEMM model and evaluated digital readiness according to the «Digital Maturity Matrix». It was found that most Ukrainian logistics enterprises are at an initial or basic level of digital maturity, highlighting the need to implement comprehensive software solutions (ERP, TMS, WMS, CRM) and to develop employees’ digital competencies. The advisability of combining traditional business process optimization methods (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Business Process Reengineering) with modern digital technologies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and integration into international logistics ecosystems has been substantiated. The prospects for further research in this area include the development of integrated models for assessing the digital maturity of business processes, considering industry specifics, refining the mechanisms for harmonizing the logistics systems of Ukrainian companies with European standards, and exploring the potential applications of the Digital Twin conception for modeling logistics processes in real time. The further development of digitalization and an ecosystem approach can facilitate the transition from traditional management models to complex integrated systems that establish a new logic of competitiveness in the global market.
